Osher Reentry Scholarship - UNDERGRAD
Scholarship Information and Guidelines
In January 2011, The Bernard Osher Foundation provided grant funds to assist non-traditional, reentry student(s) with tuition expenses.
To Qualify:
Applicant must:
- be an undergraduate student (full or part-time) enrolled at Texas State University-San Marcos or at the Round Rock Higher Education Center, and be pursuing their first baccalaureate degree.
- have experienced a cumulative gap in education of five or more years.
- anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time subsequent to graduation.
- provide a letter of reference from employer or a member of the community to show academic promise and commitment to obtaining their degree. Reference letters from family members will not be accepted.
- submit a copy of their FAFSA application or a copy of their latest tax return to demonstrate financial need.
- provide a brief summary explaining the gap in their education and how their degree will assist their post-graduation plans.
To Apply:
Submit an application on the Bobcat Online Scholarship System (BOSS). Deadline to apply for the 2024-25 academic year is 6/30/2024.
Scholarship may be renewed. Student must re-apply and meet the criteria.
